At 1.30am Thursday June 24, 2021, the unthinkable and unimaginable happened. A forty-year-old beachside residential condominium partially collapsed. The Champlain Towers South condo has multiple units destroyed and pancaked on top of each other

Miami Dade Fire Rescue, USAR and other agencies are on scene and will continue to do so for as long as it takes. As it is such a rapid ongoing situation, we are not going to write a story about this right now. See major media outlets. Fire and Aviation TV would like to share our hearts and prayers go out to ALL those affected. Miami Dade Police department are the only one giving the correct and official numbers to all media at this current time. Again, our hearts prayers go out to ALL those affected as first responders and multiple agencies work in extreme dangerous conditions to search and rescue. Metro Dade Firefighters Local 1403 also released a statement at 12.39pm today. We also have a few former fighters we worked with over the years that now work for Miami Dade Fire Rescue. They too like everyone there are extremely dedicated and hard working. They will do whatever they can under these especially difficult emergencies
