Thursday November 21, 2024, where did this month has rapidly gone by almost. A countdown where someone put the winter welcome mat out to mother nature. Some fifteen states will be affected whether you travel by road, train, or air.

A record number expected to fly more than before the pandemic in 2020. It is strongly advised by many airports to arrive at least 2 hours before domestic and some 3 hours for international travel. Already today is a week before multiple cities are affected by weather. Many airports had delays and cancellations today as we always report in the mornings via X media. Our reports are essential to all that travel. Please, as we ask as well as airports and TSA, be patient. Full flights and airports will test one’s patience. Just arrive early and expect many do not make it uncomfortable for others.

Spirit Airlines at the beginning of this week filed for bankruptcy under chapter 11 to protect operations. They are flying and even though the airline CEO was reportedly given a $3.8 billion bonus for staying on a week before they filed bankruptcy!!!

Weather warning over the next seven to ten days was issued to New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia Washington DC, West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Montana, Idaho, Californian and Alaska. Note this may change with additional states affected over this period.

From rain, wind, snow, ice, and chilly weather for both fire rescue and aviation all can expect this thanksgiving to be a busy one.
