There are some airports seeing increases of up to 14 percent. Then compared to last year one airport in Texas is now the most expensive. Austin Bergstrom International airport has seen some like Delta Airlines on some routes increase up to 40 per cent in air fares.
Many airports, even though they too are either expanding or even upgrading their airports, prices have not soared so high. The C.E.O. is responsible for many facets of the airport, but it seems some like to hide from social media or questions posted. A lack of communication or transparency. As founder and editor of this article even locals of Austin at food markets and at the hair salon made comment last month. They too cannot afford to fly to this holiday season and might wait until the spring like April 2025.
For major airport Dallas Fort Worth International airport, they do it right. Fares are modest and affordable with American Airlines, United Airlines and many others doing a great job. The C.E.O. Sean Donohue has done and continues to provide an excellent service to the public.
Other airports of smaller size manage to keep most flights and costs affordable. They also don’t get paid huge amounts pf money but are still modest in pay.
Airlines must negotiate gates and other expenses landing fees and that is a part of your airline ticket. Each year costs and overhead like any other business is all about making it profitable and not just greed for pockets.
Always best to book way in advance but still looking ahead at Austin for example even rate to April 2025 far higher than years ago.
