The Times of Change for Budget Airlines

Frontier airlines announced today December 3, 2024, that they will be replacing some budgets seats for more comfortable and more expensive flights in the near future.

Southwest Airlines have had a turbulent year on a profit margin level and internal conflict with Elliot investment management. A company that should have left Southwest Airlines alone as now those low fares are far and few between to begin. No longer in times like now the holiday season can you find fares low like last year before the holidays. Soon assigned seating will break the long-standing tradition since the inception of the airline. Next maybe the bags who knows right now?

Since the failure of the merger earlier this year with JetBlue Airways, Spirit Airline has been in trouble. In the fall this year Frontier Airlines began talks of a possible merger also. Something they tried years ago before the JetBlue Airways offer was made. Since the pandemic shut most of the commercial flying to a near standstill March 2020 for a prolonged time that year. The airline had failed to be profitable since then. Since filing chapter 11 bankruptcy in November, it still operates but on a shoestring for financials, Another greed and grab for cash was the Spirit Airlines C.E.O gets a $3.8 million bonus a week before the bankruptcy.

The times of change are coming, and some airlines will be more expense than others. Other airlines already in different markets have increased up to 48 percent on some routes. We will let you know why in our next article coming soon.
