For anyone travelling this weekend, have patience. Millions will travel by road and first responders will be at hand if needed.
Airports across the country are prepared and for the most part severe weather has calmed down since the previous weekend. Although many airports like Omaha Eppley Airfield have suggested arriving two hours before flying. This will go for many other major airports.


Airlines so far are handling this well and a less flown Memorial Day weekend based on last year’s numbers. Parking a Jacksonville Florida will be a challenge due to a massive recent fire last week. Parking is limited. Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport has rerouted traffic when driving to terminal A.
The only real challenges will be felt at Austin Bergstrom International and Newark’s Liberty International airport with possible ground stops due to staffing issues. Newark has significantly reduced flights to address the disarray.
