JetBlue has made history in its enriched life as an airline. Last night Monday July 12 an Airbus A321LR took off from John F Kennedy airport flew across the Atlantic to London Heathrow Airport. Arrival was ten minutes early 7.30am local time. A first flying a single aisle aircraft from the U.S to the UK.
Far from the days of flying a Boeing 747, a McDonnel Douglas DC10 or even a Lockheed Martin L1011 and yes, an experience we can attest. A great feeling and experience as world travel were so different many decades ago. A feeling of nostalgia and yet fast forward to today’s environment. A single aisle ultra-modern Airbus A321LR.
New York to London is a service that JetBlue will operate in both London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airport. A competitive market that JetBlue feels greatly confident in that a slice of the pie has ample rewards and profitability. These routes will be operated by the new Airbus A321 LR versions.
The flight is a test flight to validate its capability of its operations from ground crew to pilots and flight attendants. Regular commercial flight services start August 11 to Heathrow and then a latter date set for Gatwick September 29, 2021. The original flight was flawless with arrival Tuesday morning July 13 today.
