Wednesday the 19 March and blizzard cancels many flights at Omaha Eppley Airfield. Snow makes it’s a true march madness as many southern parts experience warmth and spring like temperatures.

Unwelcome changes at a few but more than ever at Southwest Airlines after 50 plus years in service the LUV is fading. The bags fly for free will be no more. This alone will give many the chill of lost LUV from Southwest. Like de-icing an aircraft not fun but still got to fly. This may result in many frequent flyers leaving the airline.
Along with this as we approach the official day of spring this winter of the past has been a challenge. Some airports manage operations effectively. Several airports have experienced operational issues in certain areas. For example, during the last cold snap at Austin Airport, many individuals reported that the temperature inside the airport was extremely cold. Why, well maybe the fact the HVAC system has not been working and reports that it has not been in the last 18 months. Shouldn’t the airport CEO ensure the airport runs properly rather than cutting back on essentials? This is so, during the last cold snap pipes burst flooding the check-in area flooded with nasty black dirty water. Gushing from the ceiling around the British Airways and JetBlue check in water all over TV’s and equipment.
There are other airports that do very well in management leadership and provide a very welcoming work environment. Omaha Eppley Airfield, Dallas Fort Worth, and Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport are workplaces that offer a professional environment. Well run airports without a doubt and many more.
