Meanwhile major airlines here in the US have joined forces to push for transatlantic commercial flights to re-open. It is essential to economic rebound and financial growth that has been terminated for the last 15 months. With a large percentage of Americans vaccinated and coronavirus cases significantly dropped now Is the time with due diligence. Same goes for Britain the coronavirus numbers have dropped significantly. Friday British Prime Minister Boris Johnson along with President Joe Biden meet with other countries. The other Countries attending are Russia, Canada France Germany Italy and Japan attend the 46th G7 summit.
This is the first time for President Biden of which airlines are taking this as a presidence to push for transatlantic commercial flights to grace the skies once again. Canada needs to reopen the skies for more international travel and less restrictions. Canadian aviation has been one of the hardest hit that still to this date have quarantine hotels being enforced. For other parts of the world coronavirus has taken a grip in different markets like India and now Malaysia. As of Wednesday June 9, 2021, India starts to improve. However, Malaysia is back into a virtual lockdown again. Air Asia just announced its grounded 90 per cent of its fleet until may be mid to late August. This can change at any time. So even if transatlantic flights do get the green light certain countries will be restricted from entering or otherwise.
U.S. has advised many not to travel internationally as it is a very fluid situation. Even Australia to this day forbids people to leave and re enter the country. Things can change and at an instant like Britain recently putting Portugal on their red list. So, with all said and done it can be a tricky summer to travel international. At least its worth considering and pushing forward for transatlantic flight to Great Britain and Canada too.
