Cutbacks and Another Airline to Fold

April reports from airlines show a slowdown of flying. From tariffs to trouble elsewhere without getting in depth of today’s politics. Now it would be a good time to thin out the fleets that are aging like those that are 32-year-old Boeings. Delta Airlines by far has some of the most aging fleets today.

Due to current tariffs, any U.S. buyer of an Airbus aircraft faces high tariff fees. This alone recently came from the C.E.O. Ed Bastian that the airline will not pay those fees. Therefore, the suspension of near future deliveries. This puts the future planning of them and other airlines up the air. Although United Airlines and American Airlines also have aging aircraft.

One thing if only we could turn time back would have American Airlines not withdrawn the entire fleet of Airbus A330 from their fleet,
