We are at a juncture where budget airlines are asking for a bailout. This feels like April 2020 and covid19 all over again for flights to survive.
Ultra-low-cost airlines are asking for a 2.5-billion-dollar bailout. Why do you ask for this alone to keep them flying at affordable rates without people bailing out from flying. Since the Iran conflict gas has increased multiple times. At this point jet fuel costs have increased 100 percent and are causing a financial crisis with these airlines and more globally.
For this alone Avelo Airlines, Allegiant Air, Sun Country Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and Spirit Airlines ask of the government for the 2.5-billion-dollar bailout. There is no word yet from the transport secretary Sean Duffy, or any official word from the government.

Last week Spirit Airlines asked for 500 million dollars to bail then out short term. The president has been in discussions with the consideration of possible purchase of the airline. Then and only when the jet fuel prices come down sell the airline to a prospective buyer.
With all intended purposes if the budget airlines get the relief what’s to say larger airlines cannot ask too and benefit from a bailout similar to that of the coronavirus pandemic of 2020. On the other hand, what about all of us paying higher groceries and fuel costs. Where does the buck stop for those in need of handouts. Can and will the airlines get surplus cash to cover the high cost of jet fuel?
