Fire and Aviation TV had been saying for a while that by this summer of 2025 Silver Airways would no longer operate. Along with previous experience and having returned to the aviation industry some were skeptical.

Jetstar Asia has immediately begun a drawdown of operations which will cease to operate at the end of July 2025. Over its 20 years of operation, it was profitable for only six years. Qantas owns a budget airline that operates thirteen Airbus A320 aircraft, which will be returned to Qantas for use in Australia and New Zealand operations.
With the deployment of the Airbus from Jetstar it will improve the fleet development program for Qantas. On the downside some 500 jobs will be lost based in Singapore. As far as other budget airlines are concerned across the globe, they have their own challenges with aircraft engine shortages like Wizz Air for example. Other challenges like market shift or politics are areas of great concern.
